![]() ![]() Thoroughly confusing, I honestly don't understand whats going on and was hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on it all.Yes does work 4k at 60hz.would and will buy from them again.also like to add.i ordered the wrong one by mistake.(my fault they look very similar.make sure you order the right one.i wanted the display port.but somehow managed to order the mini display port one.so just be careful when ordering guys).i sent the other one back.and a few days later received the correct one.great service.thank you.consdiring it was my mistake in first place.i am using this on a gtx 1080 ftw gpu to my 4k tv.using the display port from my gpu to the hdmi 2.0 on my tv.would also like to point out i am using high speed hdmi cables.so cant say for sure if they work on cheaper hdmi cables.but i wouldn't think so.although i picked up good ones here on amazon for a few quid.not expensive.and well made.if any needs any answers contact me on here and would be happy to help people out if they have any questions about this product.i will test this adapter on my new 4k amp when i get it in a few weeks.will update on here at that time.to see if it works on passtru.i cant test this at the moment because my current amp cant pass tru 4k signal to tv.but imagine it will.also it says hdmi 2.0a capable. Just a note: I can confirm on a Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M and OS X 10.9.3 (13D21) 60Hz works with the Dell UltraSharp 4K UP2414Q, 60 Hz really make such a snappy difference. he suggested that perhaps via some bizarre circumstance the mac is thinking it's an external monitor and thus limiting its max resolution to 3840x2160 ? but then this doesn't explain why its listed as a 5120x2880 monitor in system information screen. One thing someone elsewhere mentioned is that 3840x2160 is the maximum supported output for external monitors connected to the iMac 5k. If the display is not 5k why is it listed in OSX's system information screen as being 5k ? There have only ever been two versions of the iMac 5k to my knowledge, the late 2014 one (my one) and the late 2015 one. Now i know most of this points towards the display not being the same, however it is the same from all the searching i've done. '2560x1440' is also now classed as a scaled resolution. My maximum resolution scaling i can select now is '3360x1890' whereas on my old screen it was '3200 x 1800'. ![]() The scaling options and resolutions are different to what they were with the previous screen. This will for example allow to define 2560x1080 in 53Hz, which will remain under the 165 MHz limit (or 3840x1080 in 35Hz, or 2560x1440 in 40Hz). You can also try to create a custom resolution, checking SwitchResX 'simplified settings' and selecting a formula like CVT-RB. However on my previous screen when you clicked this checkbox it would use 'looks like 2560x1440'.Ĥ. Then save the settings and reboot when SwitchResX asks it. I know its not a problem with the monitor because it. If i go to 'preferences>displays' and click the 'default for this display' checkbox it switches it to a setting which 'looks like 1080p'. Even the scaled resolutions list does not have 1960x1080 (see 1st image). However when i go to system information in OSX it is listed as a 5120x2880 retina display.ģ. When i go to 'About this Mac>Displays' it lists the resolution as '3840x2160' instead of 5120x2880.Ģ. It is currently recognised as a P元461WQ 34.5-inch (2560 x 1440). Hi There, I just bought a IIYAMA G-MASTER GB3461WQSU-B1 which has a native resolution of 3440x1440 but my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) doesn't recognise the monitor and I can't run it at its full resolution. I had a local repair shop install the new screen for me and its working fine however there is some weirdness which I can't for the life of me understand.ġ. 34' Display not recognises full resolution in Big Sur. I recently cracked the screen of my late 2014 5k iMac and had to shell out on buying a new replacement screen for it. See a TestUFO Animation of FreeSync for a FreeSync demo Also, XBOX ONE gaming console now support FreeSync, 120Hz, and 1440p. Were sorry but English Community-Lenovo Community doesnt work properly without JavaScript enabled.Let me start by saying that if you can figure this out you're a genius. This list features current monitors that supports FreeSync (AMD), HDMI Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), VESA Adaptive-Sync, and G-SYNC Compatible.
